Last week, I went to Charleston, South Carolina for a quick trip. There are three things that I highly recommend: a chopped cheese from Bodega, a bacon, egg and a cheese from Callie’s Hot Little Biscuit and a burger from Little Jack’s Tavern.

The deadline to apply to the Lee Initiative is August 7th. Southern Restaurants For Racial Justice is thrilled to announce that we’ll be offering grants in the amount of $15,000 to $25,000 to Black-owned food businesses, both existing and startups. The grants are for businesses all over the country. This includes food trucks and pop ups.

The next time I visit New York City, I will have to check out B. Stuyvesant Champagne. B. Stuyvesant Champagne is a new champagne tasting room founded by Brooklyn native Marvina Robinson. Her aim is to make champagne more accessible to people.
