Yay! I can taste and smell again. I garnered enough energy to go to the farmer’s market last Saturday, even though it was so hot. Cherry tomatoes are so good with new potatoes and a fried egg. I got Pocky from a spa box a friend of mine sent me and I made a blueberry shrub syrup.

Cocktail Culture Has A Nostalgia Problem
I love a cocktail bar. When I lived in New York, I went to places like Little Branch, Clover Club and Double Happiness. If you visit Savannah, you must have a drink at AlleyCat Savannah. However, the aesthetic of most cocktails harken back to the Jazz Age or the 1950’s. There’s a great article on Punch about the nostalgia problem that lives in today’s cocktail culture.
