My Week In Food
I went to a Savannah Bananas baseball game and it was a blast. However, I realized that I do not like Dippin’ Dots. They taste like freeze dried pebbles. My friend Melissa gifted me with a can of Blue Runner red beans and they are delicious. I cooked them and ate with an egg for breakfast. Last week, I wrote about two amazing lunches I had at local restaurants here in Savannah. Check out my blog posts on Salvadoran and Thai food.
Bitter And Spritz
Bookmark this link to a guide to cocktail bitters. It will come in handy. BTW, is anyone experiencing an Aperol shortage in your town? Aperol Spritz fandom has gone too far. Most people order it because they like the orange color, but some are put off by the bitterness of Aperol. I recommend a La Dolce Vita spritz with Malfy Blood Orange Gin, prosecco and San Pellegrino limonata. Garnish with orange slice to top it off.

From One Year Ago…
A year ago, I wrote about High on The Hog, a Netflix food documentary. It is excellent and it has been nominated for a Peabody award. There will be a season 2 of the series. I also wrote about Alexis Nikole Nelson who I follow on TikTok. She recently did a TED Talk on foraging.
Have a delicious week,
