COVID-19 and Disordered Eating
I am not on a diet, but I tried and failed at intermittent fasting. At 10pm the other night, I ate six Oreo cookies while watching ‘Greenleaf’ on Netflix. Other than breakfast, my daily eating routine has changed since the pandemic. Higher stress, changing routines and too much social media have led to an increase in disordered eating.

This week I have been reading Imani Perry’s book, South To America. I have the physical book so I can take notes and I also listening to the Audible version. It is so interesting and expansive. The book is a travelogue with history and part memoir. If any of you are reading the book too, let me know. I will be doing a book discussion in April and it will be either a Zoom or a podcast episode.
They Say I'm Different
Betty Davis died February 9th of this year. Back in 2007, two of her albums were reissued and I became an instant fan. She was a model, singer, songwriter and fashion icon. She even wrote songs for The Commodores to perform but that came to fruition. Jesse Thorn interviewed Betty in 2007, and it is a great listen.
